Video Guide Hardside Waterbeds Installation

Watch out a video here which will help you how to install a hardside waterbed mattress. I can challenge you must have contrary view about their installation before you’ve watched out this video.

Upon watching it out, you will be surely convinced of the fact that you can also install it, even without the experts’ assistance!

First of all, set up the frame, deck, and riser in the location you intend to put the bed.

Inside the hollow area of the deck, make sure all cracks are made waterproof with pasting tapes.

Then, install the heater according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Place the heater pad directly on the deck boards. Avoid placing it over cracks between deck boards.

Locate the pad at least 8-inch away from the perimeter so blankets and sheets do not get tucked in over the pad.

Make sure heater is not plugged until the mattress has been filled with water.

Now, install an approved safety liner built with minimum 8 gauge or heavier pin hole free vinyl. The safety liner should go over the heater pad and must be installed in order that the liner reaches the top of the perimeter frame and capable of holding the whole contents of the water mattress. Fit corners of liners to the corners of frame and smooth out all wrinkles over heater pad.

Position water mattress in safety liner. Ensure measure-to-measure fitting of mattress corners to that of safety liner corners has been made. Smooth out all wrinkles over heater pad.

Now, a person is seen to be adding 8 oz bottle of Sterling Water Conditioner before filling with water for the best distribution of the new water treatment.

How to fill the mattress with water?

Filling the mattress with water is intriguing. First, open the fill valve #1 and air release valve #2. Then, pull the valves up, remove the cap, and plug it. Fill the mattress with water which you may have supply from an indoor faucet. Special hose adapters are required to link the hose with the faucet. A fill and drain kit will be needed. Continue filling the mattress with water until its surface is level, just at or below the top of the perimeter frame and safety liner. Avoid filling the mattress above the safety liner.

Remove all trapped air bubbles from the water mattress after filling task is over.

Now, replace the plug and cap, and tighten it. Push valve flush with mattress.

Make sure the mattress gets full filling. Mattress needs to be filled until you cannot bottom out the top of the mattress over the heater pad. Remember that any contact with the bottom of the bed when sitting or lying on the bed is considered “bottoming out” and direct bodily contact on the surface of the heater pad may harm the bed system.

Installing the heater pad

While filling and draining, take care of the whole system. Also, notice the water level filled the mattress. Special care has to be given while draining your waterbed.

Take care of the hardside waterbeds, especially during intending to wipe up water spills completely. Remember that water trapped between the liner and water mattress can cause mildew and odour. Make sure mattress pad is being used as it saves energy and provides extra comfort. Plus, give mattress vinyl protection against harmful body oils. To remain safe against accidental puncture situation, make purchase of a repair kit in advance.
